Are Wave Spas easy to set up?
The Eco Foam hot tubs can be put together by anyone without tools in about 30 minutes. Tool Free. Our inflatables can take just 10 minutes to set up.
What is an integrated system?
Our spa heaters are integrated within the spa liner for a super slick design, space saving convenience and quieter running noise.
How long will it take to get my orders?
It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
What does my hot tub arrive with?
Your hot tub arrives with a heater unit, cover, filter, filter housing, inflation hose and ground sheet, which is everything you need to set up and inflate your hot tub.
How much does it cost to run a foam spa?
Our Rigid Foam tubs take approximately 27 hours to get to maximum temperature of 40°C (104°F) - the total cost to reach maximum temperature is €7.14. The average cost of powering all of our heater units for 1 hour is €0.27.
Can I use my spa all year round?
Yes! As Wave foam hot tubs are insulated and reinforced with a protective rattan/leather finish, you can definitely use your spa all year round. Our tubs can sit comfortably outdoors in most weather conditions. However, to ensure the protection of your heater unit, we recommend moving your hot tub indoors when temperatures drop lower than 40°F - or ensuring your heater unit is protected from the elements.
Does the spa come with a cover?
Yes, the inflatable cover includes a 6mm foam core and internal foil lining to ensure maximum thermal efficiency for your hot tub all year round.
Using the Product
Does it plug into a normal socket?
Extensions cables can not be used to power spas and this can void warranty.
How long will it take to fill the hot tub?
It usually takes about 60 minutes to fill the 4-person hot tub at standard household water pressure and 75 minutes to fill the 6-person hot tub.
Do Wave foam spas have child lock features?
Yes, our hot tubs are designed with 2 child safety features. The top cover comes with clips with safety child protection locks and the heater unit has a child lock button on the control panel. We advise that a child should never be left unmonitored around hot tubs, a parent/guardian should always be present.
Can the spa be used indoors and outdoors?
Yes, it can be used indoors as well as outdoors. Please note that great care should be taken when using the product indoors in the event of accidents and the potential damage to carpet and furnishings the supplier will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by using the product indoors.
What surface is best to place the hot tub?
A smooth, flat and even surface that will be able to support the hot tub once filled with water and the people who will be occupying the hot tub. Whilst the Spa appears to be relatively light when inflated it becomes cumbersome when filled with water. A 4-person hot tub weighs more than 800kg and a 6-person hot tub weighs more than 1 tonne.
It is important to have a professionally fitted socket/outdoor socket that is in close proximity to the socket your hot tub will be plugged into. You also have to consider the surroundings of where you will set the hot tub up, it is always good to note where you will drain the hot tub, do you have a point of access for water to drain.
Can I leave my heater unit outside when it is raining?
You should only plug your heater unit into a power outlet designed for outdoor use. Do not use any form of electrical extension leads/cords as it may not be rated to the amp requirement. Although the hot tub can be left outdoors, we advised that during extreme weather conditions the hot tub be kept in a safe area to protect it from any weather damage.
Can the heater and bubbles be used simultaneously?
No, either our heater or bubbles run separately.
How do you empty the Hot Tub and how long does it take?
1. Remove the plug from the electrical mains.
2. Make sure the spa floor drainage plug is in place.
3. Open the water outlet at the spa's outer wall.
4. Pull out the plastic plug in the spa floor from the outlet and the water will flow out.
5. If there is no water in the spa and you need to drain the water in the air pipeline simply press the bubble function for 30 seconds.
6. Remove the inflation hose when drainage is complete and replace the drainage cap.
How do I pack my spa and store it?
If you have not kept the box your hot tub came in then a plastic container and lid will keep your spa safe until you're ready to use it again. The container must be at least 700mm x 500mm x 700mm. Before packing it away, please ensure your spa is completely dry. The plastic skirt at the base of your hot tub with the water bubbles in should be given special attention. Please ensure that you store it in a dry environment. Storing your spa in humid conditions could result in mould forming on the shell of the hot tub and potentially damaging your electrics and motor which could adversely affect your warranty.

Spa Care
Do I need to put chemicals in the water?
Yes, even the best hot tubs are vulnerable to failure if they’re not approached with adequate TLC (tub loving care). Regular hot tub maintenance will help ensure that your hot tub spa stays clean and clear for relaxing. Keep your tub in pristine condition with our wide selection of hot tub chemicals.
Which filter do I need?
All Rigid Eco Foam Spas will use 2020 onwards filters. Wave has 2020 onwards filters which are the latest model filters for all Wave hot tubs purchased from 2020.
What extras do I need for my hot tub?
We advise purchasing our Pool and Spa starter kit containing all the chemicals you need to keep your hot tub water clean and safe. For added protection and insulation, we recommend using a bubble mat liner and inflatable cover.
Where is the filter and how does it fit?
The filter and filter housing are stored inside the heater unit/pump. There is a clip below the three black connectors that you undo and they are stored in there. Place the filter cartridge inside the filter housing, which will be stored inside your heater unit. Screw on the filter housing to the bottom inlet/outlet, there should be a 1-2cm gap between the filter and the liner.
How often do you need to change the filter?
The filter should be changed regularly to maintain water clarity. However, this depends on how often the hot tub is used and how dirty the water has become. The duration of your spa filter is dictated by the time your heat/filter functions are applied. We recommend that you change your hot tub filter every 150 hours. The filter should be changed every 2 weeks for weekend usage only (Fri – Sun). You may clean your filter under the cold water tap from time to time. We do not recommend constant rotation and filter cleaning with hoses or jet washing due to water degradation and possible damage to the paper folds inside the filter. The most important elements regarding the ongoing maintenance of your spa are your filter and chemical use.

Inner liner is torn or punctured - Follow these steps to locate the source of the puncture:
1. Drain the water in your Spa and then fully inflate it.
2. You should hear hissing sounds from the source of the leak, and these can guide you to the location of the puncture.
3. If no sound can be heard however, please wipe or spray the Spa with soapy water. This will create large air bubbles at the source of the leak.
4. If you are still unable to locate the puncture, please repeat the steps but in the inside of the Spa itself, as well as around the base and along the seams.
If you have one of our integrated heater Spas, the liner’s warranty is 1 year, and 6 months for our other models. Once you have located the source of the leak, and your Spa is in warranty, please send us a clear photo or video of the puncture and we can then proceed with resolving the issue for you. If your Spa is out of warranty, please use the repair patch provided to repair the puncture.

Control Panel Error Codes
FC
Cause: When the filtration system has worked for approx. 168 hours, FC code will appear to advise you to check the filter. Change) will appear. The pump and heating buttons will be disabled.
Solution: Check the filter is clean and change if necessary. Press the ‘Filter’ button again. The FC error code will disappear, water temperature will be displayed, and all functions will return to normal.
SL
Cause: Blocked or dirty filter. Low ambient temperature: the pipe and heater are too cold to function correctly.
Solution: Check the filter is clean and change if necessary. Pour some warm water into the spa, and the upper water outlet.
HL
Cause: A blockage in the system is preventing water circulation and causing a false high temperature reading.
Solution: Check the water flow from the filter outlet; if the flow rate is weak, non-existent or the heater is making a grinding sound please: 1) Ensure filter does not need replacement 2) Rinse the filter under a tap to clean 3) Check the filter is not overtightened. If debris is drawn into the motor, the impeller may seize. Unplug at the mains, drain water and remove the filter, then check the outlet for obstructions. Hard water can cause limescale build-up. Turn off the spa at the mains, remove the filter, then use a garden hose to run clean water through the inlet and outlet to loosen limescale or other debris. Use a net to remove debris from the water.
SH
Cause: Water temperature sensor issue
Solution: Please contact Wave customer services
FP
Cause: Freeze Protect mode has been activated.
Solution: To exit Freeze Protect (FP) mode, press the HEATER button followed by the UP button, until reaching 20°C / 68°F. The controller will return to its normal state. If the FP code still shows after carrying out the above, there may be a controller malfunction. Please contact Wave customer services.
PE
Cause: The heater has detected that the spa has been plugged into an extension cable or that the socket doesn't have the earth wires connected.
Solution: Extension cables are not recommended, plug the spa into a mains power supply. If connected to a mains power supply and this error code is still showing, we suggest finding a technician to check the socket has been installed correctly.
